Blazing Star Masonic Island, located in the region of Geometry of the virtual
world of Second Life, is the world's first, residential, virtual community
created by and for Freemasons.  We welcome the general public, as well as
our Masonic Brethren, to visit our site and learn more about our ancient and
honorable fraternity.
The Island is a public facility open to the use of
all persons who respect its rules of conduct.  
A notecard directory is available to all visitors
who teleport into the Island's telehub at the
Welcome Center.  The Island is a Masonic
education facility that includes the following
amenities:

  • The Blazing Star Masonic Temple, the
    world's first virtual Masonic temple,
    dedicated to the purpose of Masonic
    formation and education, featuring a
    model lodge room, Masonic library,
    secure conference center, and museum-
    quality exhibits, displaying important
    artifacts of Masonic culture.

  • The Edwin Markham Masonic Park, a
    place where public, informal discussions
    are often conducted.

  • The Lucanary Original Art Gallery,
    featuring the works of renowned San
    Francisco Artist Mery Bernard.

  • The Labyrinth of the Eight Beatitudes of
    Brother Bonicolli Goode.

  • 20,480 square meters of public access
    areas, parks, walkways, beaches, and
    greenbelt.
To visit our virtual Masonic community, it is
necessary to establish an account in the virtual
world of Second Life.  Second life accounts
are free, but you will need a high-speed
Internet connection, as well as sufficient
computer resources to run the Second Life
client viewer, which is downloaded and
installed on your computer.  Details regarding
